All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi has recently advertised for Nursing Officer posts. These posts are to be filled through Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET) 2023.
Selection of candidates is to be done from written exam. Upon appointment to these posts, candidates will be given following salary and pay scale. Read the information given here for details.
AIIMS Nursing Officer Starting Salary 2024 Pay Scale
Those who got appointed, will be placed at Level 7 in the pay matrix Pre-revised Pay Band-2 of Rs. 9300-34800 with Grade pay Rs. 4600.
This corresponds to Pay Scale of 44900-142400 of 7th Pay Commission. The starting basic pay is Rs. 44900 as per 7th Pay Commission Pay Matrix level 7 (Seven).
3% increment is given every year to basic pay. The basic pay keeps increasing till it becomes Rs. 142400 at 40th level which is the highest and last basic pay given on this post.
Total salary = Basic Pay+ Dearness Allowance+House Rent Allowance+Transport Allowance+ Nursing Allowance+ Dress allowance+ Medical Allowance+ other allowances if applicable.
Salary Structure of Nursing Officer in AIIMS:
- Pay Scale: Level-7 Rs. 44900-142400 (PB-2 Rs. 9300-34800 GP 4600)
- Starting Total Salary after adding all allowances: Approx. 80000-85000 per month
- Deductions: NPS (10% of basic pay) + other tax etc. i.e. approx. 7000
- Net Cash in Hand Salary (Starting) after deductions: Rs. 73000-78000 per month
Allowances Rates:
- Dearness Allowance: 50% of Basic pay applicable from January 2024= Rs 22450 per month
- HRA is 27% of basic pay for Metro Cities like Delhi, Mumbai etc. i.e. Class X cities = Rs. 12123/-, 18% of basic pay for Class Y cities (population between 5 to 50 Lakh) = Rs. 8082/-, 9% of basic pay for Class Z cities (population below 5 Lakh) = Rs. 4041/-
- Nursing Allowance: Rs. 7200/- per month
- Dress Allowance: Rs. 1800/- per month
- Other allowances as admissible
