SSC GD Constable Syllabus 2024 Exam Pattern

Here you can check SSC GD Constable Syllabus 2024-25 in detail with exam pattern. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct written exam for Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), NIA, SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles 2025.  The test is to be conducted through online mode (Computer Based Examination).
The Commission will conduct written examination of candidates. The total number of vacancies are 39481 this time. Those candidates who are going to appear for this exam, should prepare as per the syllabus prescribed by SSC in order to prepare better. Here we are providing Syllabus of SSC Constable (General Duty) 2024-25 as released by the commission.

Selection Process:
1. Written exam
2. Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT)
3. Medical Examination
Marks obtained in written exam will be normalized to determine final merit and cut-off marks.
SSC Constable Exam Pattern: The written examination will consist of one objective type paper containing 100 questions carrying 100 marks, with the following composition:

Each question will be of 2 mark and 0.5 marks are to be deducted if wrong answer is given. Exam language will be English and Hindi only.

The SSC GD Constable Syllabus 2024-25 of written examination is given below:
A. General Intelligence & Reasoning: Test of Analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish patterns principally of non-verbal type. Questions on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding etc.

B. General Knowledge and General Awareness: Candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him, Current affairs, India and its neighbouring countries i.e. sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, scientific Research etc..

C. Elementary Mathematics: Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.

D. English/ Hindi: Understanding of basic English/ Hindi and his basic comprehension.

The questions in all the above components are of objective type and of Matriculation level.

After the written examination, physical test is to be held in this recruitment.

Details of Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

Race:

1. For candidates other than those belonging to the Ladakh Region):

  • Male: 5 kms in 24 minutes
  • Female: 1.6 kms in 8 minutes 30 seconds

2. For candidates belonging to the Ladakh Region:

  • Male: 1.6 kms in 07 minutes.
  • Female: 800 meters in 5 minutes.
